okay I think this covers the basics of the way I do my lineart, hopefully it’ll be helpful enough! if something’s unclear don’t be afraid to shoot me an ask about it.
enjoy and dON’T GIVE UP it might get really frustrating at times with all the control z-ing and re-drawing lines but the more you do it, the quicker it’ll get to get them right the first time around and the better you’ll become at it so yes, good luck friends.
Really good line work tutorial! Awesome!
This is what I have been trying to explain in words to friends who asks how I ink digitally. I think this tutorial is very similar to how I do! Don’t go slow and shaky and don’t put lots of lines on top of each other, trying to make a perfect, thick line.
Actually, this is very similar to the mind set when you ink traditionally with a brush - - however, no CTRL-Z. Lol. That’s how I figured out how to ink better digitally, when a friend showed me how he inked comics traditionally. What an eye opener!
(And on top of this there are tons of other nice tricks to make a nicely inked comic. I think Walt Stansfield has tons of good points about the flow of lines in his Drawn To Life books. Just a tip!)
